Lenovo Z2 With Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM Launched

Lenovo unveiled the Zuk Z2 on Tuesday. The smartphone is priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,400), and has only been made available in China for now.

The Lenovo Zuk Z2 is wrapped in a high fibre glass, with 2.5D protection. It runs on Android Marshmallow-based ZUI 2.0 OS, and supports Nano dual-SIM card. It features a 5-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) display with pixel density of 441ppi.


The company claims the display comes with anti-oil and anti-fingerprint protection. It is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 820 processor clocked up to 2.15GHz. It is paired with 4GB of RAM, and Adreno 530 GPU.

Optics include a 13-megapixel rear camera with EIS, an f/2.2 aperture, and PDAF. It also supports slow motion at 960fps. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera on board with an f/2.0 aperture. The Lenovo Zuk Z2 packs 64GB of built-in storage, and packs a 3500mAh battery that supports fast charging. The company claims that the smartphone will charge up to 80 percent in one hour. The dimensions measure at 141x68.88x8.45mm, and it weighs in at 149 grams.

The Lenovo Zuk Z2 offers 4G LTE (with support Indian LTE bands) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/~CHECK~b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1 BLE, and USB 2.0 Type-C port.

The Zuk Z2 bears a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button at the front. Lenovo boasts of internal heat conduction technology, that prevents the Zuk Z2 from overheating. It is available in Black and White colour variants. There is no word on availability outside of China.
